ß-Glucan And Collagen
Compatible And Practical
Now, ß-glucan combined with collagen is available as a temporary dressing for
partial thickness burns, ulcers, donor sites, and shallow abrasive-type wounds.
Mesh Matrix Wound Dressing: A Different Look, Feel, And Methodology
Our wound dressing is unique. It is a ß-glucan and a collagen hydrocolloid matrix
combined in a multifilament mesh. This configuration is applied to a smooth, gas permeable
polymeric layer. The Brennen BGC Matrix Wound Dressing provides optimum site maintenance
while keeping the skin clean and moist.
Easy Application. Comfort For The Patient.
Available in various sizes, the BGC Matrix Wound Dressing may be applied as directed
immediately after initial cleansing and removal of broken blisters. Our dressing does not
require staples and may be held in place with flexible net or gauze. The patient will feel
added comfort as the matrix dressing quickly becomes soft and pliable as it moistens.
Long Term Wound Barrier.
For patient comfort, the mesh dressing may remain on the wound for as long as 3 days.
If the wound appears to be re-epithelializing, it may remain on the patient longer as a
simple barrier or protective dressing. Patient comfort is apparent with fewer dressing
changes.
Our Unique Dressing Offers Significant Results.
- Provides a moist wound environment through its semi-occlusive, vapor transmitting
ability.
- Stabilizes patients by decreasing fluid loss and reducing heat loss.
- Forms a barrier to minimize bacterial contamination.
- Facilitates movement and may permit early physical therapy.
- Decreases pain by covering sensory nerve terminals.
- Provides cover for donor sites.
