FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BURLINGTON, VERMONT--The Wound Product Sourcebook, a complete guide to products for the prevention and repair of soft-tissue injury, will be published in January 1997. It is the first easy-to-use, single-source reference for the growing number of products in the wound care market.

"The methods and technology involved in preventing and treating wounds have changed dramatically in the last 15 years, with new products coming out all the time," said Publisher Jeanne Cunningham. "Yet there was no source publication that addressed the need for health care professionals to classify, compare, and help select these products."

The Wound Product Sourcebook combines clinical information with product summaries and manufacturers' product information in a thoroughly cross-referenced, color-coded format. The six indexes include Products by Company, Products by Tradename, and Products by Category/Features. All information is reviewed exhaustively and updated annually.

The Sourcebook is funded not by advertisements, but by various levels of sponsorship from industry providers. However, all wound products and their manufacturers are included in the Sourcebook regardless of sponsorship participation.

With a planned circulation of 36,500, The Wound Product Sourcebook will be mailed free to qualified recipients across the country. Single issues are also available for $39.95 plus tax. For information on bulk copy availability and prices, call Green Mountain Wellness Publishers, Inc. at 802-862-1265, or email gmwp@together.net.

Manufacturers of wound products that want to submit free listings to the Sourcebook may call Green Mountain Wellness Publishers, Inc. for forms at 802-862-1265.

Wound product suppliers and distributors interested in purchasing paid listings for the Distributors Index should also call the above number. Distributor listings include product and company name and are cross-referenced to the Category/Features and Company indexes.

The Wound Product Sourcebook is edited by Glenda Motta, RN, MPH, ET, a nationally known wound care expert with extensive experience in speaking, publishing, and consulting in the health care field.
