Beiersdorf - Three new wound dressings, Cutinova® foam, Cutinova® thin and Cutinova® cavity join Cutinova® hydro to create a system of moist healing for wounds.
The four Cutinova® dressings are designed to enhance the moist healing process There is now a Cutinova dressing to treat wounds at each stage of severity, from abscessed cavities and heavily exudating venous stasis ulcers, to minor skin tears and abrasions.
The Cutinova® dressings are created from an advanced polyurethane technology. They absorb large amounts of exudate, and assist autolytic debridement, without breaking down in the wound. These advanced hydrocolloid dressings can remain up to 7 days between dressing changes, letting the wound heal undisturbed.
Beiersdorf also introduces two new surgical dressings.
Beiersdorf Inc. introduces a complete line of all-in-one surgical dressings. The company announced two new surgical products which join Coverlet O.R., a high absorbency wound dressing, to become a complete line of all-in-one dressings.
Each flexible dressing has a no-stick, absorbent wound pad surrounded by a hypoallergenic adhesive. The all-in-one dressings are convenient and time saving for the nurse, and provide superior care and comfort for the patient.
Cutifilm® plus is a transparent, waterproof dressing which allows normal hygiene to continue and provides easy inspection of wound environment. The film acts as a bacterial barrier, and is moisture vapor permeable, to help prevent skin maceration.
Cutiplast® steril is a lightweight dressing that has an especially gentle adhesive, to lift off easily. It's ideal for patients with sensitive or compromised skin.
